YOUR DATA. YOUR CHOICE.
Privacy Policy
Travelgung Plan uses your verified Google email and name to create a shared Travelgung account. We store your trips, itinerary entries, editor invitations, and loyalty points in our Neon database.
Gmail access
Gmail connection is optional and separate from sign-in. With your permission, we use read-only Gmail access to find booking emails and extract flight details using deterministic rules. We do not use AI APIs, send email through your Gmail account, or modify your mailbox. Only flights dated after today are eligible for import. Email bodies are processed transiently and are not stored; extracted flight details and message identifiers are stored for deduplication and review.
Google refresh tokens are encrypted before storage. You may disconnect Gmail from your trips page, which removes our stored token, revokes access with Google, and removes pending flight imports. Existing itinerary entries stay in your trips.
Sharing
Editors must sign in with the email invited by the trip owner. When an owner enables a viewer link, anyone who receives that link can read the itinerary, including its notes and locations. Owners may disable or replace the link and remove editors.
Google API data use
Travelgung Plan’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Gmail data is used only for the trip planning features you request and is not sold or used for advertising.
Email and loyalty
Editor invitations and requested points notifications are sent from reservations@travelgung.com using our own SMTP integration. Points may be awarded to your email before registration. Those points become available when you sign in with the same verified Google email.
Deletion and questions
To request account deletion, removal of your trips or loyalty data, or help with privacy, contact reservations@travelgung.com. We retain information while needed to operate your account and handle your travel requests. Transaction records may be retained where required for business records.
